Here and Now is an educational resource for both teachers and students for Stage 6 Visual Arts, presenting in depth case studies on contemporary artists practising in the Visual Arts.

The aim of Here and Now is to promote the use of contemporary artists in both practical and theoretical activities that assist in the engagement and learning of students in the Visual Arts through current art making methods. Here and Now will explore artists from around the world engaging in various forms of conceptual ideology and material practice.

These case studies include information on the artist, their art making and artworks, investigated and interpreted through lenses such as Practice, Frames and Conceptual Framework. Within the case studies there are both practical and theoretical activities for possible inclusion within the classroom environment.

Here and Now utilises the NESA Visual Arts Stage 6 Syllabus for NSW Australia. These case studies can be altered for suitability within National Curriculum and IB courses for year 11 and 12 students choosing Visual Arts. These case studies can be simplified for teaching both Stage  5 and Stage 4 Visual Arts.
